The topics of gender and sexual identity are increasingly mainstream and controversial not only in today’s culture, but also within the Body of Christ. How do we understand these human experiences through the lens of Scripture and grace? Many Christians find themselves struggling to navigate these complexities, and some of us struggle with unwanted desires. Others of us feel confused and embarrassed about the Bible’s teaching on these issues, and some of us are at a loss about how to best relate to our LGBTQ friends.

As Jesus’ church, we need to be equipped with God’s truth and mobilized with practical, redemptive tools to honor God with our lives and to love our LGBTQ friends faithfully with our words and actions.

But, how do we do this and what will it look like?

Join Trinity Community Church and Dr. Peter Hubbard for a FREE half-day conference on Saturday, April 2 where, together, we’ll explore answers to questions like:

  • What is the Bible’s teaching on same-sex attraction and gender dysphoria?
  • What should I do if I am experiencing some of these feelings?
  • What if your child “comes out”?
  • What if a co-worker demands use of “their pronouns”?
  • How do we remain faithful to the Bible’s teaching and still willingly engage in these conversations with wisdom, clarity, and love?

We’ll answer those questions and many more (and we’ll hope you join us)! Registration opens February 15!

Conference Speaker

Peter Hubbard (author of Love Into Light) has been serving as the Teaching Pastor at North Hills Church (Taylors, SC) since 1992. He is married to Karen and they have four adult children. He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary.

Peter experienced God’s saving grace through Jesus at a horse ranch in Canada when the Holy Spirit convicted him of his delusionary self-rule, called him to repent and believe, and poured out His undeserved favor.

God’s purpose and grace continue to energize Peter to preach through the Scriptures, listening carefully to what God says and how His Spirit applies His Word to the hidden, hurting places in our hearts. Peter loves to see the transforming power of the gospel shine into the darkest, most difficult struggles.

For fun Peter might read, write, take long walks with Karen, or endure persecution for cheering for the Patriots.
