Meet Trinity Community Church

Trinity Community Church of Abington, PA, a Reformed, Baptistic church of roughly 160+ members, is a multi-generational community of ordinary, gospel-needy people being renewed day-by-day by an extraordinary God. Our mission and vision is to glorify God by making and mobilizing faithful disciples of Jesus Christ, that we might see more and more the renewing power of the gospel made visible for Jesus’ fame, for Abington, and for the world.

Trinity’s unique story began in March of 2018 when God radically altered the paths of two churches–Faith Community Church (started in 1936) and Trinity Church (started in 2011)–joining them together to make one new church. While we’ve weathered our own challenges, Trinity is a place where God’s glory is our highest pursuit and passion, his Word our foundation, and the supremacy of Christ our greatest satisfaction.

We treasure the regular, expositional preaching of the Word (typically working systematically through books of the Bible) and gather each Sunday to rehearse the wonders and riches of God’s redeeming work in Jesus as we sing and pray together, receive the Word preached, and enjoy the Lord’s Supper together. Our liturgy is a defining mark of our Sunday gatherings and is intentionally designed to mirror and reinforce the movement of the gospel.

At Trinity, we make a practice of gathering once a month as a church family for member’s meetings, followed by a time of feasting and fellowshipping together. During the week, most of our adult members regularly participate in Community Groups as we intentionally share meals together, pray together, care for one another, and study our Bibles together. In addition to Community Groups, we have active ministries for our kids, youth and young adults, men and women, and senior saints and value our role as a church who participates in God’s mission, both locally and globally.

We eagerly anticipate God’s providential plan for us as we seek to carry out his mission for his church here in Abington in the days ahead.
